MEET KAREN MCDOWELL

My name is Karen McDowell. I am the Family to Family Coordinator for Lakes Region Community Services. My position involves a lot of different responsibilities, which all revolve around helping families connect with each other so they can share experiences, give and receive emotional support and build friendships.

I am the parent of a child with a developmental disability. While everyone's journey is different, I do understand some of the emotions, concerns, joys and challenges that go along with raising a child with special needs.
